He Who Confuses Her

She has never been in a relationship, not because she didn’t have the chance, but because she has always been afraid of attachment. Afraid to dive into something she knows she isn’t ready for.

She fears herself and the idea of loving someone while still learning how to love her own soul. She is still carrying the weight of being a daughter with responsibilities she cannot set aside. She doesn’t want to commit just for the sake of saying she has someone, or for the fleeting thrill of "kilig."

Then he came.

He who confessed his feelings in front of many, yet failed to match the weight of his words.

He who, instead of leading with clarity and courage, made her question her pace, her silence, her careful heart.

He who subtly made her feel guilty for not giving in, for taking her time, for protecting the peace she has.

She refuses to fall for that.

She won’t be swayed by sweet words that lack substance.

She won’t lower her standards for someone who only shows up when it is easy or convenient.

She doesn’t need a boy pretending to be a man.

She needs consistency, depth, and sincerity.

Not pressure dressed as patience.

Not blame disguised as affection.

He says he is willing to wait,

but his actions say otherwise.

He wants a label, yet refuses to build the foundation.

He says he understands her, but continues to confuse her with mixed signals, half-efforts, and empty timing.

He who confuses her.

He who she once thought could break the wall; the almost, but not quite.

He who wanted the ending without building the beginning.

He who needs to realize, on his own, what she was willing to give — but only to the right one.
